I'm going to guess you provide free safety content because you realize it's not right to charge $8,000 for one training video and/or think safety should be more accessible than that. You know your content is going to be used by smaller companies and larger cheap companies. Notice I didn't complain about the production quality as that's understandable, but free or not you have a moral obligation to provide accurate & informative information in a proper way. You know your videos will be used for education... Going "hey just don't do this, it's bad" in a 'certified' OSHA course is ethically wrong, especially with a likely deadly outcome on the table. if I'm a troll for pointing that out so be it. Free content does not mean free of standards.

Hello Steve. The final exam for 30-Hour OSHA courses has 100 questions, requiring a minimum score of 70% to pass. Questions are typically true/false or multiple choice, and will not ask you anything that was not covered in your course. If you fail an exam for some reason, you get to try a second time, and even a third time after that. Therefore, the pass rate is very high.

Hello Robert. Got the message about your OSHA card. All requests for new OSHA cards or certificates must be made through the trainer who taught the on-site class, or the online training provider for computer-based 10 and 30-hour OSHA courses. Unfortunately, there is no central database of training classes / trainers / students that tells where you took your class, who the trainer was for your class, or that lists contact info of all trainers. So, you will have to track the trainer down yourself and request the new card. If you took the OSHA 10 or 30-hour course live in a classroom setting, OSHA policy requires the student contact their trainer directly and request them to order a replacement card. Trainers are required by OSHA to keep their training records for five years. If you do not remember who your trainer was, try checking with your employer, union, or school if they set up the class, or look at the OSHA card of someone else who attended your class to get the trainer's name. If you took the OSHA 10 or 30-hour course online, you must request your replacement card through the online course provider directly. For example, the online courses we sell on our website are made available by 360training. So, if you took their 10 or 30-hour course, you must contact them directly at support@360training.com, provide them your account information, and request a replacement card through them. The same process applies to any of the other online providers. Be aware that OSHA policy will NOT let a trainer / training provider replace a card for any course taken more than five years earlier. Also, a student only gets to request a card replacement one time, so replacement of an OSHA card a second time is not allowed. The OSHA 30 hour course provides the learner with a broad overview of the various OSHA standards and hazards present in either construction or general industry workplaces (over 20 topics covered). As for the OSHA 50, there is no such animal (just the 10 & 30 hour courses), I bet you are right about possibly referring to the OSHA 500 course(the second of two trainer courses required to teach the OSHA 10 & 30 hour construction courses).

@@curtischambers7329 Thanks, this helps! I work in retail now and looking to get back into manufacturing (no money or opportunity in retail). I am working on the OSHA-30 now. If I complete the OSHA-30 & 500, will I be able to work as a Safety coordinator at a factory or will I need experience as well? I have 11 years of manufacturing and 15-years of management in retail. Either way, I probable be the only machine operater with these courses...ha.

@@keithclark8030 the 30 hour course is a good start. Since you work in manufacturing, the OSHA 30 hour general industry course would be your best bet. The OSHA 500 is a trainer course for construction, so you may want to look at the OSHA 501 instead (the trainer course for general industry), and its prerequisite, the OSHA 511. Experience in your industry is a great asset for safety managers. You can keep supplementing your education with courses for safety and health.

Nadeem. The OSHA 30 hour course is geared more to supervisors, managers . . . whereas the 10 hour course is geared more to the workers. Hope this ansers your question.

Armando. In addition to new construction work, the construction courses also apply to demolition work and to major renovation work. So those would be the options.
